The Toronto Raptors have waived veteran guard Chris Paul after acquiring him at the trade deadline from the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a three-team trade that also included the Brooklyn Nets and centered around Ochai Agbaji.

Paul, represented by Steven Heumann and Ty Sullivan of CAA, is now eligible to join another team in time for the playoffs once he clears waivers, giving contenders the opportunity to add an experienced point guard for the postseason stretch.

Before being sent home by the Clippers earlier this season, Paul appeared in 16 games, averaging 2.9 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in limited action.
