Clippers waive Johni Broome

The Los Angeles Clippers have waived Johni Broome as they continue trimming their roster ahead of the new season.

Los Angeles needed to eventually get down to the NBA limit of 15 players on standard contracts, leaving Broome without a spot on the final roster.

The Clippers acquired Broome from the Philadelphia 76ers in late July as part of a transaction that helped Philadelphia remain below the salary-cap aprons while adding LeBron James and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Broome had only recently entered the NBA after Philadelphia selected him with the 35th overall pick in the 2025 draft following his college career at Auburn.

The young forward appeared in 11 games for the Sixers before being moved to Los Angeles and has now been waived by the Clippers.
