San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox has been named to the 2026 NBA All-Star Game as a replacement for Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, the league announced Thursday. Antetokounmpo is sidelined with a calf strain, opening a spot for Fox on Team USA Stripes.
Fox, 28, is averaging 19.4 points, 6.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds per game this season, helping the Spurs reach a 38-16 record, second in the Western Conference. His selection marks his second All-Star appearance.
The 2026 All-Star Game will follow a USA vs. the World format, with three teams in a round-robin tournament. The top two teams based on record will advance to a championship game, with point differential serving as the tiebreaker if necessary. Each game has a 12-minute time limit.
Fox joins a roster that includes Jaylen Brown, Cade Cunningham, LeBron James, and Kawhi Leonard on Team USA Stripes. Victor Wembanyama, Nikola Jokic, and Luka Doncic headline Team World, with Norman Powell moving from the USA Stars to the international squad.
Fox has been central to the Spurs’ balanced attack alongside Wembanyama, who averages 24.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game. San Antonio ranks among the top teams in the West, riding a six-game winning streak into the All-Star break.
The All-Star Game will take place Sunday, February 15, at 5 PM ET.
