Washington Wizards forward Anthony Davis is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to a combination of hand and groin injuries, according to sources who spoke with Chris Haynes.

The focus for Davis now shifts to recovery, with the goal of being fully healthy by the start of the 2026-27 season.

The Wizards are expected to prioritize long-term health rather than pushing the veteran back into action late in a lost season.

Washington acquired Davis on Thursday as part of a major deal with the Dallas Mavericks, also bringing in Jaden Hardy, D’Angelo Russell and Dante Exum in the trade.

Despite the injuries cutting his season short, Davis remained productive when on the floor, finishing the year averaging 20.4 points and 11.1 rebounds per game.
