Denver Nuggets announced Friday that forward Peyton Watson will be sidelined for at least the next four weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The injury occurred Wednesday night during Denver’s game against the New York Knicks, forcing Watson to exit and prompting further evaluation.

The Nuggets did not provide a more specific return timeline beyond the four-week window.

Watson had been playing some of the best basketball of his season prior to the setback, averaging 21.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game since the start of the year, production that will now be temporarily missing from Denver’s rotation.
