The Chicago Bulls traded Ayo Dosunmu and Julian Phillips to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, and four second-round picks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Minnesota, currently 31-20 and seventh in the Western Conference, adds a versatile guard who has averaged 15.0 points, 3.6 assists, and 3.0 rebounds this season while shooting 51.4 percent from the field and 45.1 percent from three-point range.

The Timberwolves rank among the league’s higher-scoring offenses at 119.6 points per game, but the roster has relied heavily on Anthony Edwards, who leads the team with 29.7 points, and Julius Randle, who contributes 22.1 points and 5.4 assists.

Adding Dosunmu gives the Wolves another perimeter defender and secondary creator, which fits alongside high-usage scorers and helps stabilize lineups behind veteran guard Mike Conley.

Phillips, 22, has played a smaller rotational role this season, averaging 2.8 points in limited minutes, yet his inclusion adds wing depth for a Minnesota roster that prioritizes size and defensive versatility.

For Chicago, the move reflects a longer-term roster evaluation as the club sits 10th in the Eastern Conference at 24-27 and continues to balance development with playoff positioning.

Dillingham, 21, appeared in 35 games off the bench and averaged 3.5 points and 1.7 assists, while Miller, 22, logged limited minutes but provides frontcourt size that aligns with the team’s younger core.
