The Utah Jazz have agreed to send recently acquired center Jock Landale to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for cash considerations.

Utah had picked up Landale earlier from the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a larger eight-player transaction that also delivered Jaren Jackson Jr. to the Jazz.

Atlanta will need to waive a player in order to add Landale to its roster, but the move is expected to address a need for additional depth at center.

For Utah, the deal creates a necessary roster opening to finalize the acquisition of Lonzo Ball from the Cleveland Cavaliers, a move designed to help Cleveland reduce salary commitments.
