Dallas Mavericks are willing to discuss trades as the February 5 deadline approaches, but the team has no intention of selling assets at a discount.
Two players Dallas has placed significant value on are Naji Marshall and Max Christie.
According to reports, the Mavericks are seeking a first-round pick in return for Marshall.
A similar price tag is expected for Christie, as the organization highly values the upside of the young perimeter player.
Marshall and Christie have recently been starting together in the Mavericks’ backcourt.
Marshall is in the midst of a career-best season, averaging 14.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting an efficient 54.5% from the field.
Now in his sixth NBA season, the wing has taken on an expanded role.
Christie has developed into the type of 3-and-D contributor Dallas envisioned when he was acquired in the Luka Doncic–Anthony Davis trade.
This season, the 6-foot-5 wing is averaging a career-high 13.3 points per game while posting impressive 48/45/86 shooting splits.
