New York is facing a short rotation, with Landry Shamet out due to a right shoulder sprain. Trey Jemison III is also unavailable because of his G League assignment.
Sacramento will be without key contributors, including Domantas Sabonis, sidelined with a partial meniscus tear in his left knee. Keegan Murray is out with a left ankle sprain, and Dennis Schroder remains suspended. Daeqwon Plowden and Isaiah Stevens are also unavailable due to G League assignments.
Despite the absences, the Knicks rely on Jalen Brunson, who averages 28.9 points and 6.3 assists per game. Karl-Anthony Towns provides 21.2 points and 11.4 rebounds, anchoring the Knicks’ frontcourt.
Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby continue to handle wing scoring duties, averaging 15.9 and 15.6 points per contest, while Josh Hart adds secondary scoring and playmaking.
For Sacramento, DeMar DeRozan leads the offense with 19 points per game, and Zach LaVine contributes 19.9 points and 2.3 assists. Russell Westbrook averages a near triple-double line with 14.7 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.
Maxime Raynaud and Precious Achiuwa are expected to fill frontcourt minutes in the absence of Sabonis and Murray. Malik Monk provides scoring off the bench, averaging 11.9 points.
The Knicks enter the game on a one-game winning streak after beating Portland 123-114, while Sacramento has won its last two contests, including a 124-112 win over the Lakers.
