Tyrese Maxey scored 29 points with three steals, while Joel Embiid added 22 points and nine rebounds to power the Philadelphia 76ers past the Orlando Magic 103-91 at the Kia Center on Friday. Paul George contributed 18 points, including 12 in the second half, and grabbed nine boards as Philadelphia extended its road winning streak to four games and improved to 21-15.

Both teams struggled from beyond the arc, combining for 8 of 57 three-point attempts, with the 76ers shooting 14.3% and the Magic 13.8%. Philadelphia led 50-43 at halftime and slowly built a double-digit advantage with timely scoring and defensive stops.

Maxey, the NBA’s third-leading scorer at 30.7 points per game, went 3-for-12 in a 12-point first half and missed all four three-point attempts before finishing 10-for-22 overall, including 3-for-8 from deep. His third-quarter three-pointer with 3:42 remaining gave the 76ers their largest lead at 101-85.

Orlando’s offense was led by Desmond Bane with 23 points, Anthony Black with 21, and Paolo Banchero posting 14 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. The Magic were without Franz Wagner, Tristan da Silva, and Jalen Suggs, while Jakob Poeltl missed his ninth consecutive game with a sprained back.

Philadelphia’s defense forced 10 turnovers and limited Orlando to contested looks throughout the game. The 76ers connected on 52% of field goals and 21 of 24 free throws, capitalizing on key possessions despite a poor perimeter shooting performance.

The Magic cut the lead to 101-91 late, but Philadelphia’s balanced attack and composure allowed them to close out the game comfortably. The 76ers will face the Toronto Raptors in a back-to-back set on Sunday and Monday, while Orlando hosts New Orleans on Sunday.
