The Dallas Mavericks endured another difficult night on the road as forward/center Anthony Davis suffered a left hand injury late in the fourth quarter of a narrow loss to the Utah Jazz.

The setback came during a defensive possession when Davis stepped in to contain a drive by Lauri Markkanen, an action that appeared routine until Davis immediately showed visible discomfort.

Despite the pain, Davis attempted to remain in the game, signaling briefly that he could continue. That effort proved short-lived, as he exited with just over two minutes remaining and was later seen in clear distress in the arena tunnel.

The Mavericks ruled him out for the remainder of the contest, leaving the team without its primary interior presence during the final stretch.

Before departing, the 32-year-old delivered a strong all-around performance, recording 21 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists across 35 minutes.

Dallas fell to 14-24.
