Russian sides Nizhny Novgorod, Zenit St. Petersburg and Avtodor Saratov are reportedly going to be playing in the FIBA Basketball Champions League next season.

Standard wise, FIBA’s new tournament has lost a lot of quality due to the amount of clubs opting to play in the Euroleague and Eurocup.

However, this news will come as a welcome one for the tournament organisers to have three high calibre sides from Russia.

CSKA Moscow will remain in the Euroleague next season with Lokomotiv Kuban and BC Khimki competing in the Eurocup.
