ALBA Berlin have signed former NCAA championship winning guard Peyton Siva for the new season, the club announced today.

The 25-year-old, who has also been recognised as the Big East Tournament MVP twice pens a two-year deal with the German club.

Siva captured the 2013 NCAA title with Louisville and was then selected to the Detroit Pistons in the 2013 NBA Draft but found life difficult, only playing in 24 games before being waived the following season.

He then left the NBA and joined Italian side Caserta last season.

“The move to Berlin was my first choice and this is a new level for me in my career,” Siva said. “Two years ago I was impressed by Alba’s victory against the Spurs [in pre-season] and I have heard from other players only good things about the club. I am very happy to be part of such a long-established program.”
