The Cavaliers are gradually getting closer to full strength, and another key return could be right around the corner.

After Sam Merrill recently made his way back into the lineup, Cleveland may also get Evan Mobley back in time for its Christmas Day matchup against New York.

The team has upgraded Mobley to questionable for the game at Madison Square Garden, signaling that his return is nearing.

Mobley has been sidelined for the past five games with a strained left calf. During that stretch, Cleveland dropped three straight before bouncing back with two wins, showing some resilience despite missing one of its core players.

His potential return would provide a major boost on both ends of the floor.

So far this season, Mobley has been putting together the best scoring year of his career, averaging 19.1 points per game to go along with 9.3 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.6 blocks, and a steal per contest.
