Brooklyn Nets have started to build some momentum, winning three of their past four games as they prepare to head to Dallas for a road matchup on Friday.

Rather than getting caught up in short-term results, head coach Jordi Fernandez is keeping the focus on steady progress and long-term growth.

Fernandez explained that the team is breaking the season into manageable segments, evaluating performance in stages instead of reacting to individual wins or losses.

“We’re 23 games in and we’re looking at the next 20 games,” the coach said. “Can we sustain [it]? Can we get better? Then we look at the next 20.”

For Fernandez, the priority isn’t centered on any single player or brief hot streak.

“The process is the most important thing for us and the development of the group, not just one player.”
