The game featured 27 lead changes, tied for the second-most in the NBA this season, with both teams competing short-handed. Quinten Post added 16 points for the Warriors, and Jimmy Butler had 15 points and eight rebounds, but Golden State briefly led 118–117 before Gobert’s dunk and DiVincenzo’s 3-pointer sealed the game.

Minnesota’s frontcourt dominance and clutch shooting proved decisive, with Gobert controlling the paint and Randle contributing across the board. The Timberwolves closed the game on a 10–2 run.
