Franz and Moritz Wagner are both recovering from injuries, but they still took part in a holiday event on Wednesday, handing out Christmas gifts to children from a local Orlando youth center.

It was Franz’s first time speaking publicly since suffering a high left ankle sprain in Sunday’s game at New York.

Wearing a boot and using crutches, he said he was grateful the injury wasn’t more serious, describing it as “just a little bump in the road in the grand scheme of things.”

He added, “Kind of mixed feelings … Super relieved, but at the same time, bummed that I’m going to be out for a couple weeks. Definitely caught a break there a little bit and I’m blessed that it’s just a high ankle sprain.”

He’s expected to miss two to four weeks.

Moritz Wagner, meanwhile, is approaching one year since tearing the ACL in his left knee.

He said his rehab is progressing well and that his mindset has improved as he gets closer to returning, telling reporters, “I’m doing really good. I’m feeling really good about where I’m at, finding the joy again of playing basketball and enjoying the process a little more.”
