According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Pacers are one of the teams showing interest in Ivica Zubac, having recently reached out to the Clippers to check on the veteran center’s availability.
Indiana has been surveying the market for long-term center options after losing Myles Turner in free agency and currently relying on Isaiah Jackson, Jay Huff, and Tony Bradley.
As noted by Shams Charania, the Pacers are actively evaluating upgrades, and Jake Fischer has reported that Daniel Gafford is another possible target.
Both Gafford and Zubac are signed for several more seasons at around $18–20 million annually, a salary range that fits Indiana’s roster structure, which already includes max deals for Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam.
With all their first-round picks available and movable contracts such as Obi Toppin, Bennedict Mathurin, or Jarace Walker, the Pacers could assemble a matching trade package.
Whether the Clippers would seriously consider moving Zubac is unclear. Fischer wrote that L.A. isn’t eager to trade him, and Siegel has said there are “mixed signals” about the team’s stance.
Still, Siegel adds that rival executives believe the 6–18 Clippers would at least listen if multiple first-round picks were offered.
