Portland’s injury report is significant, with Damian Lillard, Jrue Holiday, Scoot Henderson, Matisse Thybulle, and Blake Wesley all out. Donovan Clingan, Kris Murray, and Robert Williams III are listed as questionable.
The absences leave the Trail Blazers relying heavily on Deni Avdija, Shaedon Sharpe, and Jerami Grant for scoring and leadership.
Portland’s Avdija leads the team with 25.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Sharpe is averaging 20.9 points, and Grant provides 19 points and 3.6 rebounds per outing.
Detroit also faces setbacks, as Bobi Klintman and Wendell Moore Jr. are out, while Duncan Robinson and Marcus Sasser are questionable. Tolu Smith remains sidelined in the G League.
Cade Cunningham will continue to anchor the offense, averaging 27.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 9.2 assists per game. Jalen Duren contributes 19 points and 11.5 rebounds, while Tobias Harris adds 15.1 points per contest.
Detroit’s offense will revolve around Cunningham and Duren, supported by Duncan Robinson and Ausar Thompson, who average 12.6 and 11.6 points respectively. Isaiah Stewart adds inside presence with 9.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.
This matchup marks the first 2025-26 season meeting between Portland and Detroit.
