The Los Angeles Clippers are moving toward finalizing a two-way contract with free agent guard RayJ Dennis, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The timing lines up with Dennis becoming available earlier this week, after Indiana waived him to make room for Ethan Thompson on their roster.

Jake Fischer of the Stein Line later confirmed the development and noted that the Clippers view Dennis as an immediate reinforcement for their backcourt, especially in light of the team parting ways with Chris Paul.

The front office identified a need for additional ball-handling and depth, and Dennis fit the profile they were targeting.

To complete the signing, the Clippers will waive Jahmyl Telfort. He played limited minutes this season – 29 total across seven games – after joining the team as an undrafted prospect out of Butler.

Dennis, age 24, appeared in 13 games for the Pacers this season. Across those outings, he averaged 4.9 points and 2.0 assists in 12.9 minutes per game.

After going undrafted in 2024 out of Baylor, he started his professional career with the Clippers’ G League affiliate before earning a two-year two-way deal with Indiana in January.
