The Atlanta Hawks have agreed to a two-way contract with guard RayJ Dennis, according to NBA insider Michael Scotto. Dennis has appeared in 14 NBA games this season, combining stints with the Indiana Pacers and Los Angeles Clippers.
Dennis, 24, has averaged 4.6 points and 1.9 assists in 12.3 minutes per game this season, shooting 30.6 percent from the field and 31.6 percent from three-point range. His size and playmaking ability provide the Hawks with additional depth at the point guard position.
Atlanta, currently 15-19 in the Eastern Conference and sitting 10.5 games behind the Detroit Pistons, ranks tenth in the conference. Trae Young leads the team with 19.3 points and 8.9 assists per game, while Jalen Johnson and Nickeil Alexander-Walker contribute 23.7 and 20.6 points, respectively.
The Hawks have struggled with consistency this season, averaging 119.1 points per game while allowing 120.6.
Dennis’ career NBA stats over two seasons include 1.4 assists and 3.8 points per game in 9.7 minutes. His two-way deal allows him to split time between Atlanta and their G League affiliate, providing flexibility for development.
