The Memphis Grizzlies are set to bring in point guard Kobe Bufkin on a hardship 10-day contract, a move made necessary as the team continues dealing with a crowded injury list.

Several Memphis players remain unavailable for extended periods, including Ja Morant, Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., and Javon Small.

Bufkin entered the league as the 15th overall selection in the 2023 NBA Draft, chosen by the Atlanta Hawks.

During the most recent offseason, Atlanta sent him to the Brooklyn Nets in a deal aimed at clearing salary space. Brooklyn later released Bufkin before the start of the regular season.

In the current campaign, Bufkin has played two games in the G League with the South Bay Lakers.

Across those appearances, the 6-foot-4 guard has put up averages of 22 points, 6.5 rebounds, and four assists, showing productive all-around play.
