The Memphis Grizzlies revealed that guard Ty Jerome is expected to remain sidelined for another six to nine weeks as he continues to heal from what the team described as a high-grade strain in his right calf.

According to the Grizzlies, the player “is recovering well from the injury.”

Jerome has yet to take the floor in a regular-season matchup for Memphis, as the setback occurred during the preseason.

The organization brought in the experienced combo guard over the summer on a three-year contract worth $27.6 million, but he hasn’t had the chance to debut for the team since suffering the injury.
