New Orleans enters Saturday’s meeting with Atlanta dealing with another extensive injury list, adding pressure to a roster already struggling to generate consistency.

The Pelicans will be without Zion Williamson, who remains sidelined due to left hamstring injury management after leading the team with 21.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Jordan Poole is unavailable because of a left quadriceps strain, removing another 17.3 points per contest from the rotation.

New Orleans will also miss Dejounte Murray, who sustained a right Achilles rupture. Karlo Matkovic remains out with a right calf strain, while Trey Alexander is unavailable on a two-way G League assignment. Herbert Jones is listed as questionable with lower-back spasms, leaving his status uncertain heading into tipoff.

The matchup arrives at a challenging time for the Pelicans, who dropped to 2-14 after a narrow 118-115 defeat at Dallas on Friday. That loss followed a 125-118 setback against Denver on November 19.

Trey Murphy III continues to produce at a high level with 19.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Rookie Derik Queen has provided 15.3 points and 6.4 rebounds, giving New Orleans another interior scoring option amid the growing list of absences.

Atlanta arrives in New Orleans without Trae Young, who remains out due to a right knee MCL sprain. His absence has shifted the Hawks’ offensive responsibilities to Jalen Johnson, who leads Atlanta with 22.3 points and 6.6 assists per game.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker is averaging 19.7 points this season and has filled a major shot-creation role. Onyeka Okongwu, who contributes 16.0 points and 7.4 rebounds when active, is questionable with left ankle inflammation.

The Hawks enter at 9-7 following consecutive losses. Atlanta fell 126-135 at San Antonio on November 20 and previously lost 120-112 to Detroit at home on November 18.

New Orleans has yet to secure consecutive wins this season and continues to search for stability while navigating long-term injuries to key scorers. The Pelicans have struggled defensively during their 2-14 start, leaving little margin for error against an Atlanta group that relies heavily on transition opportunities.

The Hawks and Pelicans have not met previously this season, adding an element of unfamiliarity to Saturday’s contest. Tipoff at Smoothie King Center is set for 7:00 PM ET.
