Jones Garcia contributed again in the fourth, hitting a key rebound and firing a halfcourt assist to Julian Champagnie for a layup, igniting a decisive run. Champagnie finished with 20 points, while six Spurs players reached double figures.
Harrison Barnes scored 14 points to surpass 14,000 career points, highlighting a balanced scoring effort for San Antonio. The Spurs shot 53% overall, including 43% from three-point range, while Atlanta converted 56% from the field and 54% from beyond the arc.
The Spurs improve to 11-4, posting their best start after 15 games since the 2016-17 season, while the Hawks fall to 9-7, losing their second straight after a five-game winning streak. Both teams contended with injuries, including Atlanta’s Trae Young sidelined with an MCL sprain.
