Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 35 points, including a nine-point fourth-quarter surge, to propel the Oklahoma City Thunder past the Memphis Grizzlies 114-100 on Sunday at FedExForum.
The Thunder overcame a 19-point first-half deficit, outscoring Memphis 63-38 in the second half, with Gilgeous-Alexander hitting consecutive 3-pointers and completing a three-point play late in the game.
Chet Holmgren and Ajay Mitchell each added 21 points, while Isaiah Hartenstein posted a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds for Oklahoma City.
Memphis was paced by Jaren Jackson Jr. with 17 points. Rookie Cedric Coward contributed 13 points and 10 rebounds, and both Jaylen Wells and Santi Aldama scored 12 points each. Ja Morant struggled, finishing with 11 points on 3-for-18 shooting.
Oklahoma City started the game cold, shooting 39% from the field and just 19% from 3-point range in the first half. The Grizzlies built a 62-51 halftime lead despite the Thunder showing glimpses of life with a 14-6 late-half run.
The Thunder carried that momentum into the third quarter, outscoring Memphis 34-18 to erase the deficit and seize control. The lead stretched into double digits late in the fourth as Gilgeous-Alexander dominated.
Oklahoma City has now won 14 consecutive matchups against Memphis, including a four-game sweep in last season’s Western Conference first-round series.
Bench contributions were key, as both Holmgren and Mitchell provided scoring support, while the Thunder limited the Grizzlies’ shooting opportunities in the second half.
The victory improves Oklahoma City to 10-1 overall and 6-1 on the road. Memphis falls to 4-7 after consecutive losses despite an early strong shooting performance.
The Thunder return home to face the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday, while the Grizzlies begin a four-game road trip at the New York Knicks the same day.
