Portland Trail Blazers guard Blake Wesley will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a right foot fracture during Friday’s 109–107 win over the Denver Nuggets, the team announced Sunday.
According to the Blazers, imaging confirmed a fracture to the fifth metatarsal base in Wesley’s right foot. The organization said a timeline for his return will be determined later, following further evaluation by the team’s medical staff.
The 22-year-old guard exited the game after logging 10 minutes off the bench, finishing with five points, two assists, and two steals.
Wesley had earned a growing role in Portland’s rotation this season, providing valuable backcourt depth behind Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe. Through six games, he averaged 6.0 points, 3.2 assists, and 1.7 steals in 16.3 minutes per contest while shooting 41.2 percent from the field.
The former Notre Dame standout had been praised for his defensive energy and playmaking in limited minutes, contributing to Portland’s 4–2 start.
