Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George is nearing his long-awaited return to the court. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, there is “positive momentum” toward George making his season debut in early November after missing the start of the 2025–26 campaign.

George, 35, has not played since March 2025 when his season ended due to adductor and knee injuries. The veteran forward joined the 76ers in free agency in the summer of 2024, forming a new core alongside Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey.

Fischer shared on Bleacher Report Live that the Sixers are optimistic about George’s recovery timeline, describing his return as one of the “positive elements” amid the league-wide injury challenges early this season. While no specific game has been confirmed, multiple reports indicate his comeback could happen within the first week of November.

Philadelphia has started the season with a 4–0 record, led by Maxey’s explosive scoring and Embiid’s interior presence. Maxey is averaging 37.5 points and 8.3 assists per game, while Embiid has added 16.3 points and 5.0 rebounds through limited minutes as he works back into game shape.

George’s arrival would provide a significant boost on both ends of the floor. A nine-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA selection, he has averaged 20.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists across his 15-year career. His shooting and defensive versatility fit naturally alongside Maxey’s pace and Embiid’s post dominance.

The 76ers’ depth has been a key early-season strength, with Kelly Oubre Jr. and V.J. Edgecombe combining for nearly 40 points per game through the first four contests. Adding George would give Philadelphia another reliable perimeter option and veteran presence for late-game situations.
