Galatasaray pulled the series deficit over rivals Fenerbahce back, but game three of their Turkish Basketball League semi-final will be remembered for 15 minutes of unsavoury behaviour from supporters.
A 65-63 win narrowed Fenerbahce’s lead in the series 2-1, but Galatasaray’s victory was marred as their fans began throwing items onto Fenerbahce’s bench, forcing coach Zeljko Obradovic and his players to go to the locker rooms.
“In the beginning of the season I said that I would generally like to talk about basketball,” said Obradovic.
“But everybody who watched the two first games in our gym and also watched tonight’s game, understands the huge difference. This is the only comment I want to make on the matter. Nothing else.”
Galatasaray coach Ergin Ataman took to Twitter to show solidarity and support to the Fenerbahce playcaller.
Değerli meslektaşım Obradovic'in fotoğrafını şimdi gördüm. Bunu kim yaptıysa insan değil. Bu olayı şiddetle kınıyorum!!!

Translated, Ataman said: “I just saw the photo of Obradovic. The person who did this is not human. I condemn this!!!”.
