Dallas Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport over the weekend on a charge of marijuana possession, according to an incident report obtained by DLLS Sports.

Reporter Ron Harrod Jr. shared the news on X, writing, “BREAKING: Mavericks guard Brandon Williams was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in the C terminal of DFW Airport on Saturday.” The Mavericks, when contacted Tuesday, declined to comment on the situation.

The arrest adds early-season turbulence to a Dallas team already facing a difficult 1–3 start to the 2025–26 NBA campaign.

Williams, who has appeared in two games this season, has averaged limited minutes off the bench in a deep backcourt rotation that includes D’Angelo Russell, Klay Thompson, and Jaden Hardy. He will miss Dallas’ home game against the Pacers on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old guard joined the Mavericks in 2023 after short stints with the Portland Trail Blazers and multiple G League teams.

Through four games, Anthony Davis has led Dallas with 25 points and 11.8 rebounds per game, while P.J. Washington and No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg have averaged 16.8 and 13 points respectively
