EA7 Emporio Armani Milan announced that it has mutually agreed to terminate the contract of forward Vlatko Cancar. The Slovenian international appeared in just two EuroLeague games this season before being sidelined with a knee issue.
“Olimpia Milano and Vlatko Cancar have mutually agreed to terminate his current contract,” the club said in an official statement. “Olimpia wishes to thank Cancar for his exemplary behavior, professionalism, and commitment during these weeks spent together, hoping to see him back on the court as soon as possible, fully recovered.”
Cancar, 28, joined Milan in July after five seasons with the Denver Nuggets, where he was part of the 2023 NBA championship team. His arrival was seen as a valuable addition to Ettore Messina’s rotation, but injuries limited his impact early in the 2025–26 campaign.
The forward logged his only two EuroLeague appearances in Rounds 1 and 2 before missing the next three games due to knee discomfort.
Cancar’s departure ends a brief European return after his tenure in the NBA, where he averaged 3.4 points and 1.8 rebounds across 143 regular-season games with Denver.
