The Miami Heat have signed guard Jahmir Young to a two-way contract, repoted NBA insider Michael Scotto. Young impressed last season in the G League, averaging 21.7 points, 7.0 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals over 43 games with Grand Rapids Gold and Windy City Bulls.

Young went undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft but joined the Denver Nuggets for the 2024 Summer League. He signed with Denver on July 31, 2024, but was waived on October 8 before joining the Grand Rapids Gold later that month.

In February 2025, Young earned a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, making his NBA debut on March 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Over his G League career last season, Young averaged 21.5 points, 7.1 assists, 4.8 rebounds, and nearly two steals per game. He shot 45.7% from the field and connected on 86.1% of his free throws, demonstrating scoring efficiency and playmaking ability.

Young also spent time with the Windy City Bulls, where he contributed 20.0 points and 6.5 assists per game in 13 contests, while posting nearly 40% from three-point range.

Miami signed Young on August 20 to an Exhibit 10 contract before converting it into a two-way deal. The Heat now have flexibility to utilize him in both the NBA and their G League affiliate, allowing Young to continue developing while providing depth at the guard position.
