The Phoenix Suns confirmed that guard Jordan Goodwin will remain on their roster as the 14th standard player for the 2025-26 season, NBA insider Shams Charania reported.

Goodwin, who rejoined Phoenix in July after being claimed off waivers, impressed during training camp and preseason games.

Goodwin averaged 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 19 minutes per game during the preseason. His standout performance came against the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 24 points on 50 percent shooting, including three three-pointers, while adding six assists and four turnovers in 37 minutes.

The guard also contributed effectively in the NBA China Games, posting 19 points against Brooklyn and providing energy on both ends of the floor. His ability to defend multiple positions and facilitate the offense helped Phoenix in several tight matchups.

After stints with Washington, Memphis, and the Lakers, Goodwin has built a reputation as a versatile guard capable of contributing in limited minutes. During the 2024-25 season with the Lakers, he averaged 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 18.7 minutes per game.

For Phoenix, retaining Goodwin adds depth to the backcourt and strengthens their rotation behind star guards.
