Jeremy Sochan has been ruled out for the San Antonio Spurs’ regular-season opener against the Dallas Mavericks next Wednesday after suffering a sprained left wrist.

Sochan, who had already been working his way back from a strained calf, picked up the wrist injury during 5-on-5 practice sessions on Wednesday.

The calf issue originally occurred in August, which caused him to miss EuroBasket as well as the entire Spurs preseason schedule.

In addition to Sochan, De’Aaron Fox has also been sidelined and will miss the opener due to a strained hamstring.

Both players are expected to make a quick return and could be back on the court by the second or third game of the season.
