The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to a deal with guard Johnny Davis, NBA insider Michael Scotto reported. The former Wisconsin star and 2022 Big Ten Player of the Year returns home to join the Wisconsin Herd in the G League.

Davis was the 10th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft by the Washington Wizards and spent the past three seasons splitting time between Washington and its G League affiliates, Capital City Go-Go and Westchester Knicks.

In his NBA career, Davis has averaged 3.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.6 assists over 112 games. While his minutes in the league were limited, his performance in the G League demonstrated his potential to contribute at a high level.

During the 2024–25 season with Westchester, Davis averaged 13.9 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists over 31.9 minutes per game. He shot 44.7% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range, showing improvements in efficiency and playmaking.

The decision to return Davis to Wisconsin allows the Bucks to strengthen their G League roster while providing him a familiar environment to develop.
