Partizan Belgrade continued its strong start at home in the EuroLeague, improving to 2-0 in front of their fans.

Backed by a raucous atmosphere inside the Arena, the Serbian powerhouse earned an impressive win over Anadolu Efes, highlighted by Sterling Brown’s standout performance.

The American forward led all scorers with 24 points, putting on a display that energized the crowd and set the tone for the victory.

Following the game, head coach Zeljko Obradovic addressed reporters in his postgame press conference. In addition to praising the night’s effort, he touched on the team’s plans to potentially strengthen the roster with a new addition in the frontcourt.

“We are looking for a player, I’ve been saying that all summer,” Obradovic explained. “The reason is only injuries, the season is long, so because of injuries we need one. Otherwise, I am satisfied with the team. The market is open until March.

“You can’t know how the season will go. Last season, the average number of injured players was 2.5 per team. We are only interested in a tall player if we find someone who can help us.”

For Obradovic, the priority remains maintaining depth as the long EuroLeague and ABA campaigns unfold.

Partizan currently sits at 2-1 after three EuroLeague rounds, and they have also gotten off to a winning start in domestic play, edging out Krka 86-81 in their ABA league opener on Monday.

With momentum on both fronts, the team looks to continue building while keeping an eye on the market for a potential reinforcement in the paint.
