New York Knicks guard Miles McBride made it clear where he wants to spend his future — in Madison Square Garden.

Speaking with Steve Popper of Newsday, McBride expressed his desire to remain with the Knicks long-term. “I love being here,” he said. “I want to be a Knick for life. I can’t control anything. So just going to come to work until they tell me otherwise.”

McBride, entering his fifth season in New York, is now the second-longest tenured player on the roster behind center Mitchell Robinson. His steady development and defensive intensity have earned him a consistent role in the team’s rotation.

Last season, McBride averaged 9.5 points, 2.9 assists, and 1.0 steal per game while shooting 36.9% from beyond the arc in 64 appearances. It was his most productive year yet.

The 25-year-old guard is currently in the second year of a three-year, $13 million contract, a deal that reflects the Knicks’ faith in his growth.

McBride’s progression from a late second-round pick to a dependable two-way contributor has mirrored New York’s broader resurgence.

After earning a larger role during the 2024 playoffs — where he averaged 11.0 points across 13 games — he solidified his place as one of the team’s most reliable backcourt options off the bench.

For McBride, the mission is simple — keep earning his place, one game at a time.
