The back-and-forth between Ergin Ataman and Dennis Schroder has continued to heat up following Germany’s EuroBasket 2025 triumph.

It all began when Ataman, head coach of Panathinaikos and the Turkish national team, boldly claimed before the EuroBasket final that he has been “the best coach in Europe over the last 10 years.”

Germany went on to win the championship, and Schroder, never shy on social media, decided to react to those remarks.

Ataman later responded, firing back at Schroder’s comments. Now, the German point guard has once again taken to Instagram to make his stance clear.

“Luckily you never be my coach,” Schroder wrote. “I didn’t started this back and forth.. You did and you said something about us. So if you really wanna talk sh** you have to back it up and you didn’t. Im sorry coach. You sound like you hurt. Its all love tho. Imma just be me, people who know me know.”
