The Toronto Raptors have re-signed Jared Rhoden, giving the versatile wing another chance to establish himself in the NBA after an injury-interrupted year.
Blake Murphy of Sportsnet first reported the deal, noting on X: “The Raptors have signed Jared Rhoden. Former 2-way player dealt with injury issues last year and was let go ahead of a recovery summer, he’ll now be back in the camp/905 mix. Great to see.”
Rhoden originally joined Toronto on a two-way contract in March 2025. He quickly made an impact, highlighted by a career night against the Philadelphia 76ers on March 12, when he posted 25 points, 12 rebounds, four three-pointers, and four steals in his first NBA start.
In 10 games with the Raptors during the 2024–25 season, the 26-year-old averaged 11.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 21.5 minutes per game. His efficiency stood out, shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line.
A torn labrum in his right shoulder required surgery in April, which led to Toronto waiving him in July. After months of recovery and training, the franchise has opted to bring him back into the fold ahead of the 2025–26 season.
Across his NBA career with Detroit, Charlotte, and Toronto, Rhoden has played in 45 games, averaging 5.5 points and 2.5 rebounds. His strongest stretch came with the Raptors, where he showed the ability to defend multiple positions and contribute as a scorer.
Rhoden has also been productive in the G League. With Raptors 905 last season, he averaged 19.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 50.7 percent from the floor and 39.3 percent from three-point range.
