Micah Peavy on Herb Jones: I believe he’s the NBA’s best defender, and I wanna get there one day

New Orleans Pelicans rookie Micah Peavy recently spoke about learning from his accomplished teammates at the wing position, particularly 2023-24 NBA All-Defensive First Team member Herb Jones.

“I’ve just been asking a lot of questions about on and off the court stuff. They’ve been through everything I’m about to go through. They just said to just keep asking questions. A guy like Herb: I’ve been asking just defensively like, ‘What’s his mentality? How does he get his steals? Cuz we do things a little bit different.’ But it’s always good to learn from a great defender like himself cuz I believe he’s the best defender right now in the NBA, and I want to get there one day. So, I’mma continue to ask questions.”
