The New York Knicks have officially announced the signing of undrafted rookie guard Dink Pate to a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 contract, as confirmed in a team press release.
The agreement had originally been reported in June, shortly after the conclusion of the 2024 NBA Draft.
Pate, 19, spent the 2024-25 season in the G League with the Mexico City Capitanes after previously playing for the G League Ignite in 2023-24.
In 34 appearances for the Capitanes, he averaged 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists across 26.9 minutes per game. His solid performance earned him a spot in the 2025 Next Up game at All-Star Weekend, highlighting him as one of the G League’s promising young prospects.
Over the summer, Pate joined the Knicks’ roster for the Las Vegas Summer League in July.
Across five games, he posted averages of 9.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 17.6 minutes per contest, while shooting .400 from the field, .500 from three, and .889 from the free-throw line.
Alongside Pate, the Knicks also signed undrafted guard Bryson Warren to an Exhibit 10 contract. Warren, who went unselected in the 2024 draft, has spent the past two seasons with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the G League affiliate of the Miami Heat.
In 49 appearances during the 2024-25 season, the 20-year-old averaged 11.0 points, 3.7 assists, and 2.6 rebounds over 23.3 minutes per game, while shooting .414 from the field, .373 from three, and .781 from the line.
Earlier this month, the Westchester Knicks acquired his returning rights via trade, paving the way for his signing.
Before adding Pate and Warren, New York had just 12 players under contract. Because of this, the team couldn’t offer Exhibit 9 deals – short-term contracts designed to protect teams financially if a player suffers an injury in training camp or preseason.
Under league rules, Exhibit 9 agreements are only allowed once a roster has at least 14 players (excluding two-way contracts).
That reality makes it unlikely that either Pate or Warren will see extended involvement with the Knicks during camp. Instead, both players are expected to be waived and then join the Westchester Knicks, New York’s G League affiliate.
Thanks to the Exhibit 10 language in their deals, Pate and Warren will be eligible to earn bonuses worth up to $85,300 if they remain with Westchester for at least 60 days during the upcoming season.
