The Miami Heat have announced they are waiving Bryson Warren and Malik Williams.
Warren, a 19-year-old guard, spent last season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat’s G League affiliate, in the NBA G League. He began his career with Overtime Elite before joining the Skyforce.
In the G League last season, Warren averaged 7.8 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game.
Williams, who went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft, started his professional career overseas with Anwil Wloclawek in Poland.
His stint in Poland was short-lived as he returned to the G League in 2023. On October 30, 2023, Williams joined the Sioux Falls Skyforce but was waived just eight days later.
Williams signed a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors on April 3, 2024. He made an impact during his brief tenure with the Raptors, averaging 2.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in seven games.
The Heat’s decision to waive Warren and Williams reflects roster adjustments as the team finalizes their lineup for the upcoming season.
