Fenerbahce has officially signed Armando Bacot for the upcoming 2025–26 campaign, the club announced on Wednesday.

The 25-year-old center joins from the Memphis Hustle of the NBA G League, where he averaged 16.8 points and 9.5 rebounds across 50 games last season. He finished ninth in the league in total rebounds.

Bacot began his professional career with the Hustle after going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft. He briefly signed with the Memphis Grizzlies before continuing the season in Southaven.

His arrival comes at a crucial time for Fenerbahce, which is looking to cover the absence of Jilson Bango, who suffered an injury at AfroBasket 2025. Bacot will add size and rebounding depth to Sarunas Jasikevicius’ roster as the club aims to defend both Turkish League and EuroLeague crowns.

A standout at the University of North Carolina, Bacot played five seasons in Chapel Hill. He helped lead the Tar Heels to the 2022 NCAA Championship Game and finished as the program’s all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles. His 1,715 rebounds rank ninth in NCAA Division I history.

Bacot also represented the United States at the youth level. He captured gold at the 2018 FIBA U18 AmeriCup in St. Catharines, Canada, showcasing his early potential on the international stage.
