The Utah Jazz have finalized a Two-Way contract agreement with rookie guard John Tonje, the 53rd overall selection in the 2025 NBA Draft.

Tonje, who is represented by veteran agent Mark Bartelstein, enters the league following a standout college career capped by an impressive final season at Wisconsin.

Tonje offered the Jazz a glimpse of his potential during Summer League action, appearing in two contests and averaging 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds while logging 22.6 minutes per game.

His ability to contribute on both ends of the floor caught the attention of Utah’s coaching staff as they continue to shape their developmental roster.

Before transferring to Wisconsin, the player began his collegiate career at Colorado State in 2019-20, ultimately playing six seasons of college basketball.

He made his biggest mark in his final year with the Badgers, where he emerged as one of the Big Ten’s most consistent scorers.

Across 37 games, Tonje averaged 19.6 points and 5.3 rebounds in 31.2 minutes per contest, while also showcasing his perimeter shooting ability by hitting 38.8 percent of his three-point attempts on nearly six shots per game.

By signing a Two-Way deal, Tonje will split time between the Jazz and their G League affiliate, giving him opportunities to continue developing his game while also providing depth to the NBA roster.
