The Boston Celtics are converting John Tonje’s two-way contract into a standard 10-day deal, giving him an opportunity to join the active NBA roster.

Tonje has not yet appeared in an NBA game this season.

He has spent most of the year in the G League, where he has produced solid numbers.

Across 35 games, Tonje is averaging 18.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.5 assists while playing 30.4 minutes per contest.

Tonje was selected with the 53rd overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Wisconsin by the Utah Jazz before being traded to Boston at the deadline.
