Cleveland Cavaliers guard Max Strus recently underwent surgery to address a Jones fracture in his left foot, an injury he suffered during offseason training.

The procedure will keep him sidelined for an extended period, with his recovery timeline projected at roughly three to four months.

Strus played a significant role for the Cavaliers last season, taking the floor in 50 contests.

In those appearances, he contributed an average of 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.2 assists across 25.5 minutes per game, providing valuable perimeter shooting and secondary playmaking.

The 29-year-old is still under contract with Cleveland for two additional years as part of the four-year, $63 million deal he secured in the summer of 2023.

His absence will be a notable loss for the team’s rotation as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
