The Sacramento Kings are emerging as a potential landing spot for Josh Giddey this offseason. According to reporter Allen Stiles, while confirmations are still pending, sources close to the situation suggest the Kings could be in the mix for the young guard.

Stiles noted on Sactown Sports 1140, “From what I’ve heard and from those that do tend to be in the know, they would not be surprised if the Kings were one of those teams.” He also pointed out that Sacramento already has Dennis Schroder under a three-year deal, but their moves so far indicate they are open to all possibilities.

The Kings have been active this offseason, hiring Doug Christie as their new head coach and making trades and signings that suggest a willingness to reshape the roster.

Sacramento’s 2025 draft picks included shooting guard Nique Clifford and French center Maxime Raynaud, further adding young talent to the mix. The roster currently features key players such as DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis.

Adding Giddey, a guard known for his playmaking and size, could complement Sacramento’s existing backcourt, even with Schroder on the roster. The Kings’ openness to multiple options this offseason keeps the door open for a potential deal.
