Michael Porter Jr. has spoken candidly about one of his personal challenges. The 27-year-old forward admitted, “Women has always been my vice,” in a recent YouTube video, via HoopsHype.

Porter clarified, “I don’t think being with women all the time and sleeping around and doing stuff like that is cool. And I haven’t necessarily been doing that.”

This openness comes shortly after Porter was traded to the Brooklyn Nets on July 8. The deal sent him and a 2032 first-round pick to Brooklyn in exchange for Cameron Johnson.

During his time with the Denver Nuggets, Porter established himself as a solid scorer and rebounder. He averaged 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds per game over 345 regular-season appearances.

In the 2024-25 season, his final with Denver, he posted 18.2 points and seven rebounds per game. Despite some ups and downs in shooting efficiency, Porter remained a key contributor on both ends of the floor.

Porter’s playoff performances have also been notable. In 75 games, he averaged 13 points and nearly seven rebounds per contest, demonstrating his ability to impact high-stakes matchups.

The trade to Brooklyn signals a new chapter for Porter. The Nets are looking to add depth and scoring versatility, and Porter’s skill set fits their needs.
