Although Jody Allen is not officially listed as the owner of the Portland Trail Blazers, she remains in full control of the team’s operations, according to Bruce Schoenfeld in a detailed report for Sportico.

Allen serves as the executor of the late Paul Allen’s estate and is the sole trustee of his vast collection of assets.

According to the instructions outlined in her brother’s will, she is legally obligated to sell the franchise at some point in the future.

While the organization confirmed in May that the team is officially on the market, there is little indication that Jody Allen is actively pursuing a sale or making efforts to assess the team’s current valuation.

Furthermore, it is widely believed that one of the key conditions attached to any eventual sale is that the Trail Blazers remain based in Portland, ensuring the franchise stays rooted in its longtime home city.
