Although the buyout market has been unusually busy during this NBA offseason, Marc Stein advises fans not to lump Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic in with high-profile names like Bradley Beal and Damian Lillard when it comes to potential exits.
According to Stein, unless a trade takes shape over the next couple of months, it’s highly probable that Vucevic will still be on the Bulls’ roster when the 2025–26 season tips off.
Despite ongoing speculation about Vucevic’s future with the team, there appears to be no immediate movement toward a trade.
However, should the Bulls decide to shift direction or fall out of playoff contention during the first half of the season, Vucevic may emerge as a possible buyout candidate closer to the trade deadline in February.
That said, nothing is imminent, and for now, the expectation is that the veteran center will remain in Chicago – at least through the early part of the upcoming campaign.
